Kenny Dorham was a talented bop-oriented trumpeter and an excellent composer who played in some very significant
bands.
Despite being an amazingly talented artist, he never received the kind of attention or recognition from the jazz establishment he deserved.
But none the less, he was pioneer of bebop, known for the beauty of his tone and for his lyricism.
